Facilities

Legacy Ridge has excellent facilities to offer its boarders, from a heated indoor arena and round pen to over 85 kms of beautiful trails.

Our facility and property are fully secured through a certified alarm company.

30 10'x10' stalls, 5 12'x12' stalls
heated automatic waterers in outdoor pens
automatic waterers in barn
total of 9 large pens and 12 small paddocks
2 very large pastures
indoor arena, 60'x160', with excellent footing
large outdoor arena, 120'x215' with excellent footing
facility has jumps, barrels, etc.
tack boxes available to inside boarders
tack boxes for outside boarders are $30 per month (when available)
lobby and lounge area with coffee machines and a DVD system
barn, arena, and 50' indoor round pen heated in winter
wash rack with cold/hot water
medical room, bathroom with washer and dryer services
across from Blackfoot riding reserve with over 85 kilometers of trails
security gates to keep your horse safe and secure

Boarding - Options & Pricing
(all prices include GST)
Outdoor Board: $300.00 + GST = $315.00
includes pasture with shelter
hay (at times free choice), pellets daily
use of indoor facility
*Lockers are provided to outside boarders at a cost of $30 per month.
*Group paddocks - $25

Indoor Board: $600.00 + GST = $636.00
includes everything listed under outdoor board, but horse is brought in every night. Horses are unblanketed and reblanketed. Horses are not brought in until later, to maximize turnout time, unless weather is bad. Lockers are provided
*Extra-large 12'x12' stall - $50
*Private paddock - $50
*Group paddock - $25

Special Fees:
$20 - overnight boxstall fee for outside boarders
$30 - stabling for non Legacy Ridge boarders that come in for clinics
$15-25 - holding fees (vet, farrier, etc); service only available for Legacy Ridge farriers
$5.00-10.00 - medication, wrapping, eye/eardrops,etc.
$50.00 - hauling, per horse, less than 25km
$100 charge, per month, for cribbers
Boarders are responsible for vet fees, farrier fees, and deworming charges. As per contract, board fees are due on the 1st of each month and late fees will accumulate at $25.00 per day after the 1st and $50 per day after the 3rd.

All riders and handlers sign a boarding contract and waiver.

*30 days notice of intention to leave is required*

*Absolutely no unsupervised minors (by their parent or guardian) permitted on property.

Rest and Recovery Program
Legacy Ridge has a special boarding program for horses with special needs such as racehorses and broodmares. Please inquire for details.

The Animal Keepers Act governs this stable and will be strictly enforced.
